WHY IS THE FOUNDER OF GOOGLE NOT AS POPULAR AS THE FOUNDER OF FACEBOOK - OGFUNDS BLOG.

Mark Zuckerberg and Bill Gates were just kids early in their college careers when they dropped out to build their empires. Larry Page was in graduate school working on the academic problem of improving web search. He never expected the idea to monetize well, and even considered selling the company to Excite for less than $1 million.

Larry Page isn’t a big personality like Mark Zuckerberg, Steve Jobs, Elon Musk, or even Bill Gates.


Larry was also a bit of a reluctant leader for Google. Unlike Zuckerberg, Jobs, and Musk, he’s never tried to be the “face” of Google. He doesn’t claim to be the sole founder (he shares that honor with Sergey Brin.


Consider that Larry didn’t even feel he was fit to be CEO as Google began to grow into a big company. That’s why they brought on Eric Schmidt to lend the company a bit more credibility leading up to its IPO.

Larry has always believed in hiring the smartest people, not that he’s the smartest person. That’s how he ended up with people like Jeff Dean and Peter Norvig on his team. And indeed, when it was clear that Sundar Pichai was the best person to run Google, he again stepped down.

Larry’s a very smart guy. But he’s a soft spoken, very introspective kind of smart businessman. He’s not a natural salesman, but when you listen to him speak, it’s clear he has his finger on the pulse of what’s coming around the corner.

But he doesn’t take the credit for Google’s success, and that’s the difference.

Media Hype and controversies make people popular and world known. It think CEO of Google did not do any controversy like Cambridge Analytica .

CEO of Google is less ambitious than CEO of Facebook. Contentment level is high.

Google really love to share and wants to make people rich. He has better monetization option than facebook.

However I know Adwords is more popular than Facebook ads. Google adsense is more popular than Facebook Publisher.

Facebook has a lot of road blocks for their customers even can block your own legit facebook profile. In other side Google is creating road map of success for people.

Now main thing is that non living identity should be more popular than living identity. Many Lary page and many Mack will come but Google and Facebook will be same till many centuries.
